Safaris in India

India is one of the most wildlife-rich places I’ve visited. From the jungles of Madhya Pradesh to the grasslands of Assam, the variety of landscapes and animals is incredible.

On safari, I saw Bengal tigers up close. Beyond the animals, the experience of being in such different environments, each with its own culture and pace, made the trip even more memorable.

So far, I’ve only been to Ranthambore National Park, and it didn’t disappoint. Within an hour of entering the park, I saw two different tigers. That same morning, the hotel next to mine, right outside the park’s boundary, found fresh tiger tracks on their property. A tiger had crossed through a barbed wire fence during the night. That kind of close proximity to wildlife really stuck with me.

Ranthambore is known for its tiger population and the ancient ruins inside the park. Seeing a tiger walk past an old stone structure is something I won’t forget. One thing I appreciate about safaris in India is how much effort goes into conservation and supporting local communities. Many parks offer eco-friendly places to stay and guided tours from knowledgeable locals. It’s a great way to see wildlife while also supporting the people and places that protect it.
