Arizona has red deserts, pine forests, and deep canyons. The best months to visit are March through May and September through November, when the weather is cooler and good for travel.

Best Places to Visit in Arizona
Most visitors start with the Grand Canyon, but there’s more to see. Monument Valley in the north, the Sonoran Desert in the south, and the mountain forests near Flagstaff all show different sides of the state.
Arizona is best seen slowly. Walk through the canyons, visit the cliff dwellings, or drive until the horizon disappears.
