I’ve spent a lot of time in Florida, from the Keys up to the Panhandle. The state is known for its beaches, theme parks, and warm weather all year. I’ve found the best months to visit are March through May and again in October through December, when it’s cooler and less crowded.
Where I Go in Florida
When I’m in Orlando, I visit Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando. They’re busy but worth seeing once. Miami always feels different – bright, loud, and full of energy. The beaches there are wide, and the food scene keeps getting better. I like driving down through the Florida Keys, where the road runs between turquoise water and small islands. Key West is the last stop, and it’s always worth a night or two for sunsets and seafood.
On the Gulf Coast, I’ve spent time in Clearwater, Sarasota, and Naples. The beaches there are calm, and the towns move at an easy pace. Up in the Panhandle, the sand is white and the crowds are smaller. In Central and North Florida, I’ve gone swimming and kayaking in clear natural springs that feel hidden from the world.
How I Plan Trips Here
For theme parks, I buy tickets early and plan short breaks in the afternoon heat. On beach trips, I check red tide conditions and parking before driving out. Florida looks small on a map, but the drives are long, so I plan routes carefully and stop often. I also keep an eye on the weather from June to November since it’s hurricane season.
